Green Day
Saviors Tour
2024
"Punk’s very own Eras tour is an absolute triumph."
Rolling Stone
The Playground team worked closely with Crush Management to create a production design celebrating the 30th year anniversary of Dookie and the 20th year anniversary of American Idiot. Each album was played in their entirety along with tracks from the latest release Saviors and several other high octane hits from the band's extensive catalogue. The stage was loaded with lighting, pyro, guitar and bass amps, and massive inflatable set pieces that helped fans immerse in the worlds of the iconic albums.

How we got there
Corinne and Sooner began collaborating on the production design and show direction after a phone call with the band's creative director, Brendan Walter in the summer of 2023. The Crush team and Playground team worked closely to integrate two completely different set designs for Dookie and American Idiot with creative treatments for additional songs in the set.
The majority of the set featured a surround of light up guitar and bass cabinets sandwiched between a modern take on the audience blinder. It towered nearly 14' behind the band to create a light up backdrop and also served as a pyro armory. The majority of the fire and pyrotechnic effects exploded out of the guitar cabs throughout the night.
Act I - The Dookie Era featured an inflatable version of the iconic atomic cloud from the album cover. The inflatable was accentuated with video content in the form of scenic extensions and doodles from the memorable sketches created by Richie Bucher in 1993. The act also featured a blimp style version of the famous plane from the album cover. It was walked through the audience, guided by two Dookie dogs.
For Act II - American Idiot, a larger than life heart grenade and fist inflatable grew out up from behind the drum riser. The entire act was art directed in the graphic content style of the album cover and the American Idiot era.
The band also performed several songs from their extensive catalogue including the most recent, Saviors. All Saviors songs were treated in black, pink, red, and white colors to set them apart from the rest of the show.
"The show was great! They had the giant inflatable plane from the cover of Dookie(so cool!), along with breathtaking backdrops that were perfect. And there were blown-up replicas of their album covers commanding the stage."
