Neon Pill tour
2024
The Playground, in collaboration with Sooner Rae Creative, Fourline Creative and Notan Creative, designed and produced the Neon Pill tour in the spring of 2024. The band wanted a vintage feeling stage design loaded with tungsten lighting. In an attempt to make the production design match the fierce energy and performance of the band, the team added multiple special effects and lasers.
The band's set list touched upon every album including the 2024 release of Neon Pill. Despite one member rolling around the stage for most of the tour on a medical scooter, the band brought high octane performance. The evening celebrated musical diversity, resilience, and deep emotion, drawing thousands of fans to witness a show destined to be remembered for years to come.

How we got there
The Playground team went through several iterations of the design with the band before landing on a riser set loaded with lighting and special effects. Four massive towers of lighting resembling vintage par cans flew above a diamond shaped riser. The diamond shape was accentuated with a line of tungsten lighting fixtures direction upstage. Throughout the night, lasers and fire embellished the music to create an energetic production to match the high octane performance of the band members.
