The Playground collaborated with Shdwbx to create a production design steeped in nostalgia for The Wet Hot All-American Summer tour. Large banks of lighting flanked an upstage rectangular wall used mainly for IMAG effects. The tour featured classic pop punk tracks and iconic lighting effects. Lead singer, Tyson strutted around the stage adding to the theatrics of the night as the band played hit after hit. In the middle of the set, they stripped it down to an acoustic vignette and rolled out a vintage "AAR" bulb sign as a backdrop.

How we got there
In just three short weeks The Playground and Shdwbx worked together to design, render, draft, and produce the lighting and stage design for the tour that launched in Tampa, Florida in August 2023. The band entered stage upstage center in a blinding, God-Light silhouette for their intro song "Swing, Swing." They continued to wind back the clock to the early 2000's with sing-along hit after sing-along hit while The Playground's large banks of lighting painted the scene.
